Welcome to the Creative Introvert Entrepreneur podcast, a show that helps introverts build your business brand online.

Hi, I’m Kim Beasley, the founder of this Podcast and one of my favorite sayings is Introverts Unite. I love this saying because I want to inspire you to be successful at building your business brand online.

In today's episode, I will share how you can start building your business brand online. It’s fun using acronyms because they help you remember tips that I will share with you. For today’s podcast, the acronym is the S.T.A.R.T. Method which stands for:

  • Start with learning
  • Take time to research
  • Assess your brand message
  • Release your brand message
  • Teach your brand message

Now that we know the words associated with the acronym, let’s discuss how this acronym can help build your business brand online.

Start with learning what your target customer wants to buy from you online. Before you market your business, reach out to your target customer to see what they want to buy online. Creating products for your business with little to no research can lead to failure. Developing your brand around your target market’s needs and wants will not only cater to an existing market but will also tap new ones.

Take time to do your research on your industry, competitors, and customers. After learning what your target customers want, then take time to research those who are already selling in your industry. Product research goes hand in hand with industry research, competitor analysis, and market research. These three research methods make up a strong business brand that converts.

Assess your business brand and align it with what your target customer wants, and that makes you stand out online. So you’ve done your research, next you want to make sure your business brand is what your target customer is looking for online. The data you compiled when researching will help you assess if your branding stands true to your target market’s wants and needs.

Since people online are visual, consider creating your media package regarding what your target customers like most. This includes colors, images, messages, video, etc. By gearing your marketing package to what appeals to them, it can attract more buyers.

Release your message strategically using your website and social media platforms.Planning out how you will market your business brand online is very important to your success. Let your target market know what your brand is all about, but strategically. After building your business brand message, create a strategy of how you will communicate your message online.

When using your website, you have things like a blog, pop-ups, or engaging content as part of your brand strategy. When you create content, you can share your content on social media to build your business brand. A few examples are:

  • Offer to interview an industry leader for a blog-post
  • Offer to do an interview for your podcast
  • Create a giveaway contest for action takers who share your content
  • Generate video for industry leader blog-post interview
  • Live stream video to share your knowledge

Teach your business brand message to your team and customers so they can be advocates for your business onlineSome business owners have trouble communicating their brand message to their team members or customers. When this happens, it maybe caused by a lack of the business owner’s vision being understood by others.

One solution is to create an advocacy program within your company, The role of the advocacy program will be to create awareness about your brand message for your team and customers. The awareness communication could include the follow:

  • Media package about your brand message
  • Videos explaining your vision
  • Email marketing strategy that includes your brand’s mission statement or motto
  • Podcast show to share your knowledge and help position your brand message

With this, your team can easily translate your business brand message while working with your customers. Finally, when you are building your business brand message online, remember to use the S.T.A.R.T. Method I’ve explained in this podcast.
